The concept of religion has taken the place of what a person believes. Religion is not what you believe, religion is an act within what you believe. But what a person believes is a measure of faith. Scripture says in Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Scripture also reminds us in the same book, Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” The first core foundation shows that without faith you cannot please God. Secondly, a person who comes to God must believe that God exists, and that He rewards those who seek after Him.
Faith is the Foundation of life. What do you have faith in? After you establish what you hold as faith, the way you believe is established.
At Maranatha Ministries we believe the Scriptures as what is stated. The Founders held that God the Father created all things, and that the Son of God redeemed us back to the Father through His sacrifice. The Founders also established the Words of Jesus Christ at the point that He returned to the Father and gave the Great Commission in:
Mark 16:15-20
15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Further, scripture shows in the time of the beginning of the Church:
Acts 2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Sir Pastor York performed thousands of baptisms at Maranatha Ministries and he quoted Acts 2:38 to every person going into the waters. Followed by this, Sir Pastor York would pray that they would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. We shall continue the exact ways of Christ Jesus, and the doctrine of the Apostles, and finally the ways of the Founder, Sir Pastor York, and we shall continue the Works of Christ for the harvest of peoples and Nations.
