Maranatha Ministries of Detroit is located in Michigan and was founded by Sir, York A. LaFleur and Mother Rubie Stein LaFleur.

In January of 1980, Sir, York LaFleur entered into ministry with Mother Rubie Stein LaFleur, his beloved wife in accordance with Acts 18:2-3, immolating the life of Priscilla and Aquila, assisting the Church at a time where the Gospel needed to be preached to the Nations.  They opened up their home and started having weekly Bible Studies with a few families in their basement. As the gathering of the saints began to grown, Sir, York LaFleur and Mother Rubie LaFleur sought to find a building for their gatherings.  At the time, Mother Rubie Stein LaFleur was serving the community caring for children through her Daycare on 6 Mile Road in Detroit.  The Lord provided with a vacant space next door to the daycare which Sir, York  and Mother Rubie made the investment to make this place for the gathering of the saints.
